The Print Chambers: a sales brochure for Detail DMC

A 32-page sales brochure for 14 one- and two-bedroom apartments inside a Grade II listed Victorian printing works in West Bromwich, with a brand created from scratch.

The brief

Detail DMC was converting the former Kenrick & Jefferson printing works, an 1883 landmark on West Bromwich High Street, into 14 one- and two-bedroom apartments. They needed a brand and a sales brochure that would make agents and investors see the building as somewhere special, not just another town-centre conversion.

The brochure was aimed at agents and investors. There was no existing brand, so we developed The Print Chambers identity from scratch alongside it.

How we got there

The brand took its cue from the building itself. Its ornate Victorian brickwork and the intricate leaded glass in its doors and windows inspired a flowing copper line motif and monogram, set on a black, white and terracotta palette that echoes the facade.

We worked with Detail on the page plan and content order, so the book moves from the development to its history, then the location, then the detail. We worked with the CGI designers on 3D cutaway floor plans that show how the apartments fit inside the listed shell, drew up clear, brochure-friendly plans for all six apartment types, and sourced location maps and restyled them to match the brand.
